Our Fees
My-Bermuda-House's fee structures are simple and transparent. We charge you on either a fee or a commission basis depending on the plan you select. There are no other charges, no extra commissions, no fees hidden in the fine print. And because our business model is Internet-based, we are able to charge less than more traditional real estate companies and pass the savings back to you. Here's what we charge for our sales services.
- Sole Listing Plan: My-Bermuda-House charges a 3% commission for its sole listing plan, which it collects as part of the closing costs when the property sells. Our 3% commission represents a reduction of 40% from established market pricing. There are no other fees, hidden or otherwise, charged under the sole listing plan.
- Open Listing Plan: My-Bermuda-House charges a 5% commission for its Open Listing Plan. Under an open listing, the seller retains the right to appoint other agents. My-Bermuda-House will still process your property and produce our full range of marketing materials. However, because there is a chance that another agent may sell your home, we charge a higher commission than we do for our Sole Listing Plan.
- Advertising Plan: Our Advertising Plan is intended for people looking to sell their own homes without a real estate agent. We assist these people by allowing them to advertise their properties on a targeted, modern medium, something more than newsprint. On our website property advertisements have the advantages of colour, multiple photographs, 24/7 availability PLUS the system automatically notifies all interested buyers when the property is advertised. So not only is your ad available for browsers, we go out and tell the buyers about your property. The advertising plan is sold on a monthly basis ($250) and is charged to your credit card.
Here's what we charge for our rental services.
- Sole Listing Plan: My-Bermuda-House charges a half a month's rent for its sole listing plan, which it collects from the funds pre-paid by the tenant. Our half-month commission represents a reduction of 50% from established market pricing. There are no other fees, hidden or otherwise, charged under the sole listing plan.
- Open Listing Plan: My-Bermuda-House charges a full month's rent for its Open Listing Plan. Under an open listing, the landlord retains the right to appoint other agents. My-Bermuda-House will still process your property and produce our full range of marketing materials. However, because there is a chance that another agent may lease out your home, we charge a higher commission than we do for our Sole Listing Plan.
- Advertising Plan: Our Advertising Plan is intended for people looking to rent out their own homes without a real estate agent. We assist these people by allowing them to advertise their properties on a targeted, modern medium, something more than newsprint. On our website property advertisements have the advantages of colour, multiple photographs, 24/7 availability PLUS the system automatically notifies all interested renters when the property is advertised. So not only is your ad available for browsers, we go out and tell the prospective tenants about your property. The advertising plan ($35) is sold on a weekly basis and is charged to your credit card.
