Our Products

As an interested buyer looking to get the most out of our website, you may benefit from an overview of our products and services. In summary, we offer vendors a choice between 6 different products, divided into 2 broad categories: Property Listings and Property Advertisements.

Property Listings represent the traditional way that real estate is transacted in Bermuda. The vendor enters into a Sole or Open Listing Agreement with a real estate agency, which markets the property. The agency that sells the property is paid on a commission basis when the property is sold, normally at the prevailing market rate of 5% of the property's sale price. My-Bermuda-House offers both a Sole Listing Agreement and an Open Listing Agreement.

Under both Listing Agreements, My-Bermuda-House professionals create a property listing that includes the full range of our presentation tools, including virtual tours, digital galleries, floorplans, maps and full text descriptions. We assume responsibility for selling the property, including preparing the online listing, marketing the property, managing the sales process, organising viewings, managing the offer process and drafting the purchase and sale agreement. In all matters relating to the sale, we act on behalf of, and in the interests of, the vendor.

We also offer Advertising Plans to people who prefer to sell their own homes rather than deal with a real estate agency. To this constituency we market four "For Sale By Owner" plans that allow a vendor to create and post his/her own property advertisement on My-Bermuda-House's website. You can always see who is managing the sale of any property by looking at the Property Details page. For more information on the Advertising Plans click here.

The first 3 plans are sold on a monthly basis and renew automatically unless cancelled, while the Superior Plan attracts a one-time fee and stays on the website until sold or cancelled. The 4 plans have different price points and offer increasing levels of information about the property. One result of selling a range of products is that not every property will have the same level of detail on the website.

The information provided on any property is determined by the Listing or Advertising plan selected by the vendor.
